Woo-hoo, it's now two zero one four,

let's twist and shout it shan't be a bore!

Get off that couch, a potato you are not

beyond your threshold is a life to be got.

Reflect a moment on where you've been

on this Wednesday the start of twenty fourteen,

think of what you'd like to do, close your eyes,

see a vision, it can unfold for you!

Prepare then set your plan in motion,

over time, with patience and devotion,

you'll see the fruits of what you labor

sooner or later in twenty one four.

But along with work there must be pleasure,

don't struggle to balance, simply make it d'jour,

to run, jump, play no matter what age you are,

‘cause it’s up to you to set the bar,

to stay on point with what you decide

living life to the fullest with gusto and pride.

In sum, this message is to say,

seize each moment you're given each day

mindful of the little things,
we take for granted as human beings
for there’s much to see, do and adore
awaiting us in two thousand one four.
